Hi, good question...

I think some of the posters were correct with Photoshop elements and possibly Gimp. By the way, you &#039;should&#039; be able to get a good price on Photoshop on eBay, if you look around. I think, because you&#039;re working on family photographs, that it&#039;s essential you use a good tool and get it right the first time.

By the way, electronic scrapbooking is a great idea.

Here&#039;s another photo editing software that&#039;s under $50. However I must admit I&#039;ve never used it, so maybe ask around a little before you jump into it:

For me, it would have to be Corel&#039;s Paint Shop Pro. It&#039;s very close to Photoshop in terms of functionality.
I think Corel mucked it up a bit when they bought it from Jasc Software, so if you can get an earlier version, pre Corel, you should try.</description>
